Patient Care Coordinator Job Summary

Basic Job Summary:

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates with patients and other customers
  • Answers the phone and greets patients
  • Schedules patient appointments
  • Gets appropriate paperwork signed by patients
  • Verify insurances
  • Explain insurance coverage to patient and answers any questions patients have
  • Data entry
  • Office management, including ordering supplies, deposit log and petty cash reconciliation
  • Maintain patient medical records
  • Prepare and send out medical records requests

Education Requirement(s): High School Diploma or GED
