Mat Dewing is the owner, and CEO/President of ProCare Physical, which is a multi-site group practice with locations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.  ProCare Physical is an amalgamation of two companies: ProCare Physical Therapy, and ProCare Physical Fitness & Performance.  Mat received his Masters degree in physical therapy from Ithaca College in 1995.  He is a licensed Physical Therapist and licensed Certified Athletic Trainer in Pennsylvania.  His passion lies in coaching individuals into life changing personal success. 

Mat has continued to develop his skills as a manual orthopedic physical therapist, and athletic trainer.  His treatment approach balances the importance of excellent application of manual techniques with the importance of empowering each person to pursue life-long habits of positive thinking, proper posture, and value adding exercise.  He enjoys working with all kinds of people and problems.  Personal training others for physical wellness, athletic enhancement, or injury prevention is also a passion.  

Mat’s continuing education pursuits are varied, and he has taken a wide range of orthopedic and sports continuing education courses.  In the world of physical therapy he considers his primary mentors to be Wayne Rath, founder of the Duffy-Rath Treatment System, and many of those who present at the Perform Better Summit, including Gray Cook.  Mat implements the FMS and SMFA into screening and/or assessment of each individual he treats, and he has completed FMS (Functional Movement Screen) training, as well as Level 1 & 2 courses for the SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment).

People trust Mat quickly because he doesn’t judge them, and he finds it natural to see things from their perspective.  Mat is a highly responsible person, and totally transparent.  He is married to his high school sweetheart, Janice, and together they home school their seven rambunctious children on a small country farm in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.  Mat thrives on the notion that many people in life rely on him, and he is intensely loyal, cultivating many life-long friendships.
